Plaster of paris casting tape has been used for decades as an economical and reliable way to create orthopedic casts. Plaster bandages are highly moldable, and have a nice, smooth finish.
Plaster of paris bandages feature a plastic core, preventing telescoping and improving over all handling. High quality weave gauze adds stability. When activated with water, the gypsum plaster formula is easy to mold. Set times could be 3-5 minutes or 5-8minutes (according to clients’ requirements). Length 2.7m, 4.5m (width and length could be manufactured according to clients’ requirements)
Prepare clean soft water in a water basin, the water temperature is around 25–30 degree
Celsius unroll the required length of bandage
Immerse the bandage into the clean water till all air bubbling has ceased, the water will be frequently replaced
Take out the bandage and gently squeeze out the excess water without wrinkles from the edges towards the center with hands
Wrap on the patient rapidly after squeezing, smooth with wet hands into a natural formation.
